Normal day, let me be aware of the treasure you are. Let me learn from you, bless you, love you before you depart. Let me not pass you by in the quest of some rare and perfect tomorrow. Let me hold you while I may, for it might not always be so. One day I shall dig my nails into the earth or bury my face in the pillow or stretch myself taut or raise my hands to the sky and want, more than all the world, your return. ~Mary Jean Iron

Loved this quote when I saw it today (Ali's blog)

A very normal day here at our house. Working. Eating dinner. Watching TV. The perpetual process of cleaning up (Who makes all of the messes around here?). And now, when it is far too late for me to be awake on a "school night," sitting here holding a sweet dog with healing (hopefully) ears, listening to the peck peck peck of my husband's typing, wondering what he is doing and for which job, and falling asleep all at the same time. I must not forget to thank God for this normal day of mine. Though it was very ordinary...I need only to glance around the room to see that it was blessed.
